地味なイベント：「将棋まつり」

将棋を「観る」

今日の午後。大阪、天王寺の近鉄百貨店。将棋まつりは今までになく賑わっていた。
神吉六段によると、大阪開催の一日の入場者で新記録となったらしい。
私もずっと立見だった。（1000人程度？）
将棋がブームになっているという話は今の所聞かない。
ただ、谷川九段が「将棋の愉しみ方が多様化しているせいでしょう」と言っていたが、
確かに関連情報が入手しやすくなって、ライト層の裾野は広がっているかもしれない。
実際に将棋を指すことはない私も（将棋倶楽部24で指すことは稀にある）
コアなマニアではない。スポーツ観戦と将棋の棋譜を読むことはほぼ同義だ。
さて、今日のメイン棋士は以下の通り。
谷川九段。山崎七段。神吉六段。瀬川四段。
この面子も賑わいの理由だろう。特に初来阪となる瀬川四段は大きい。
私が今日を選んだのも、瀬川四段がいたことと、とりあえず神吉六段が居れば
お寒いトークにはならないだろうと思ったからだ。
午前中は美容院に行っていたため、現地到着は昼過ぎ。
山崎七段が指導対局を行っていた。
山崎七段の指導対局（10面指し）。横のおっちゃんの話では「山崎結構負けとったで」とのこと。うむ。しかし頭髪が淋しい人が多い（←失礼）
＜以下なんだかんだ言ってマニア向き＞
将棋が強いだけが棋士の意義ではないようだ
会場に入ると瀬川四段と神吉六段の早指し3回戦が始まるところだった。
しかしこれは因縁の対決と銘打ちながらも期待外れ。
一局目は一手10秒、二局目は一手20秒。早すぎて訳がわからない。
ここまで早いと指す方もかなり反射的に指している感じがする。
神吉六段はマイクを持って対局。
横の大盤解説で「ここはこういう狙いで・・」などと話すと、
神吉「おうそれそれ。それええな。それで行くわ」。
終盤で詰むや詰まざるやの場面となると
「激指持ってきてえな。あれないとわからんわ」。
本当にわからないらしく、結構無茶苦茶な筋に指す。
「神吉さん、二連敗で香落ちでしたっけ」。解説から茶々が入る。
瀬川四段は徹頭徹尾無視を決め込んでいた。
次がその棋士によるトーク。神吉はんが他の3人に話を振る展開。
だいたいこんな感じで話が進む。
相変わらず瀬川四段、話しにくそうである。
トークショーの様子。瀬川四段が話す時に、脚を微妙に揺らし出すのが気になって仕様がなかった。
山崎「（対谷川戦で何回勝ったかという話で、山崎必敗形から）谷川さんに
形作りの金を頂いて、それで間違えてくれて、勝ったんですよ」
神吉「森内はそういう見せる将棋を判ってないよなあ。丸山もな」
谷川「森内さん最近はそうでもないですよ」
神吉「勝った時は自分、むちゃくちゃ強いわって思いますねん」
山崎「誰でもそうですよ」
谷川「それ年何回くらいあるんですか」
神吉「んー多くて二回」
谷川「35歳過ぎて、勝てなくなる人とそうでない人といますね」
神吉「それ誰ですか」
谷川「いや、あの世代の三人（※羽生、佐藤、森内）除いて・・いや・・」
最近の棋士の方はだいたい無口でもないが、
棋士同士の好き嫌いや、ゴシップ的な話題の核心には口が固い。
棋士になるとずっと同じ面子とつきあわないといけないので、
一度嫌われたら、ずっと針のむしろだからだという話を聞いたことがある。
狭い社会に閉じ込められることの悲哀・窮屈さは
ある種、皇室と似たところがある。
そういう意味で神吉六段や先崎八段は希有な存在である。
プロの凄み
最後がメインの谷川ー山崎戦である。
棋譜詳細は上記関連サイトにある。
同じ局面でプロと同じ時間を共有して、素人がわからないなりに次の一手を考え、
そして気持ちよくその予想が裏切られる、というのが公開将棋の醍醐味である。
読みを入れている時間の濃密さを実感できるわけだ。
横でおっちゃんが「それちゃうでちゃうで」とか、
「そうかーここで飛車いじめに行くんか」とか
言っているのを聞くのも愉しい。
投了後。簡単な感想戦があった。（多分敗着手の）73手目の▲1八香に言及して「あれはないですよねえ。でも歩が欲しくて」と山崎七段。
勝負は上写真投了図の通り、谷川九段の貫禄勝ち。
「光速の寄せ」ではなかったが、見応えはあった。
ところで、谷川九段は揮毫が「光速」だという。
プレゼントのサイン色紙にそう書かれていたらしい。
それ、揮毫の文句としては、ちょっと違うと思う。
